After a selfmade breakfast we started our tour in our rented bus with Christján, the islandic teacher. We were very surprised when he told us that we would not need our hiking boots because we would not walk on the glacier itself.
Our first stop was the famous shark museum. There we saw the tools they need to catch the sharks. We also tried the famous „Súrsaður Hákarl“ (rotten shark) and visited the place where they dry it. After a short lunch in the bus we made another break on a gas station. We drove through a wonderful little seaport.
The next highlight was the glacier Snæfellsness but we did not see it very well because of the clouds around it. Our last stop was on a amazing cliff. The colours were breathtaking and it was the perfect place to show the contrasts in Iceland. On the left side there was the Atlantic Ocean, on the right side there was the vulcano with the glacier on it. Most of the time we drove through a phenomenal volcanic landscape. After a very long but wonderful day we came back to our hostel at 9 o´clock.
